I was traveling and stopped by a nice hotel for the night. The place was wonderful and had everything that I could have asked for in it! The hotel was kept up nicely and there didn't seem to be any issues at all. When I went in, I was greeted by a woman and she helped me get a room and settle in for the night. After I got to my room, I noticed I had no soap so I went back down made small talk with the clerk. Turns out, she was one of the hospitality accountants!
I didn't really know what that meant, so I asked her. She told me that she basically was in charge of all the financial things of the hotel. It sounded really interesting and I really never thought of anyone doing boring paperwork like that at a hotel. (more…)
